Our Mission
What is your mission in life? To help others? Constantly challenge yourself and your mind? Be a role model? Meet other people and learn about their cultures? Ours is to travel around the world with our three sons and expose them to life as it really is, thereby accomplishing all four. It has been Our Mission since having children to make certain they experience the world before starting college. Equally important is our commitment to connect young people and adults as we travel so they can appreciate cultural similarities and be tolerant of differences.
It is our collective intolerance of the differences that have caused many of the conflicts we see today throughout the world. In reality, most cultures have more in common than not. Therefore, our travels will focus on the similarities and the “common ground” we all share, thereby connecting through understanding rather than dividing through intolerance.
This will not be a vacation in the strictest sense of the word, but an immersive life-experience. We will visit orphanages, schools, clinics, villages, and out-of-the-way places to be truly immersed. And just as importantly, we will use the power of the Internet to facilitate a virtual online cultural experience that will help engage those who follow our travels. Who knows, perhaps we'll encourage others to take the plunge, throw caution to the wind, and travel with their children too.
