Morgan
¡Hola! My name is Morgan. I am 19 years old and just finished high school a year early. You ask how a year early? Well, I have been taking classes through Florida Virtual School (FLVS) since I was in the 9th grade. I enjoy it because I get to work at my own pace, own time, and own place. Therefore, I have been able to complete my high school credits in only three years (at least that's what my mom tells me). More importantly, I can go to Gatorland or surf any day I want, but only if I get my schoolwork done first!!! Technically, I should be a senior, but I have been working ahead and was able to finish by the end of my junior year.
In my free time, I love volunteering at Gatorland (a local attraction) and at The Central Florida Zoo where I am a docent. I also enjoy playing tennis, surfing (every chance I get), boating, camping and the great outdoors. I became a certified Lifeguard last summer, which has allowed me to earn money for the trip and to purchase more surfing board shorts. Brightly colored board shorts are definitely my weakness- the brighter the better.
When my parents told me about this big adventure, I was all in. I love to travel. Some of my favorite places have been Northern California, Colorado, Virginia, Jamaica, and Mexico. I also enjoy traveling all around Florida. I love doing things here including hiking through the woods in North Florida, visiting Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens in Miami, going to Disney World, Sea World, and Busch Gardens.
